Simple Fall Decor

Autumn decor.
What is it about fall and Halloween that bring out the overly creative side of many.  I think when we have children that kitchy and whimsical Halloween decor is appropriate.  I do it myself for my children and parties I give for them and their friends.  When I do fall for myself, it is all about simple, tasteful and elegant.  A few pumpkins and some pretty flora are all I really want but there is an art to the simple.

Filled to the Brim - Even the simplest of objects, when displayed on a larger scale, can have a stunning affect. Here, a tall cylindrical vase is filled to the top with basic white pumpkins and is perched atop a dining room buffet for an eye-catching display.

Easy DIY Halloween tip: Concentrate your decor efforts on the table and one other spot—like a mantel, a sideboard, or a deep windowsill—is just as effective (and a lot less hassle).
I'm really loving white and green striped pumpkins lately.  I don't deny that traditional orange pumpkins are charming as well.  What do you think?

  1. Love this! We have a single oversized orange pumpkin sitting on our kitchen table right now, but I'm dying for more fall décor at home!
